MarinaChain has entered into a strategic partnership with Shipsider, a maritime technology company based in Türkiye, to strengthen collaboration in maritime decarbonization and regulatory compliance. On October 31, MarinaChain signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Shipsider during SWITCH (Singapore Week of Innovation & Technology) held in Singapore. This partnership aims to accelerate digital transformation in the maritime industry and enhance capabilities for responding to carbon regulations.
MarinaChain operates an integrated AI platform consisting of MarinaNet, which automatically collects and verifies vessel operational and regulatory data, MarinaDocs, which updates internal manuals and contracts in line with international standards, and MarinaCP, a charter party contract management solution. Through these solutions, MarinaChain automates compliance with complex regulations such as IMO DCS, CII, EU ETS, and FuelEU Maritime, significantly reducing operational burdens for shipowners and ship managers.
Founded in 2024 at Bilişim Vadisi, Türkiye’s largest technology innovation hub, Shipsider focuses on the digitalization of commercial maritime operations and regulatory management. Through its AI-based SaaS platform, Shipsider supports efficiency across voyage data, charter party management, and carbon emissions tracking, and is currently expanding its services across the Middle East and Europe.
Through this partnership, MarinaChain and Shipsider plan to jointly advance AI-driven automatic vessel data integration and real-time carbon emissions management, automation of EU ETS and FuelEU reporting, and the standardization and transparency of operational and commercial maritime data.
Sung-Yeop Ha, CEO of MarinaChain, commented, “Shipsider is a rapidly growing and innovative company in the field of maritime commercial operations data. By combining our technologies through this partnership, we expect to lay the foundation for a maritime data hub connecting Asia and Europe and to build a new maritime ecosystem driven by AI and data.”
