MarinaChain, a maritime and logistics AI solution company, is joining hands with Korea Shipping Gazette, Korea's leading maritime specialized media, to develop an integrated AI platform for the maritime industry.

MarinaChain announced that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Korea Shipping Gazette on April 22 for the development and operation of an integrated AI platform tailored for the maritime industry. The signing ceremony was attended by key officials from both companies, including Ha Seong-yeop, CEO of MarinaChain, and Lee Chul-won, Publisher of Korea Shipping Gazette.

Under this agreement, Korea Shipping Gazette will provide news content to the maritime-specialized integrated AI platform being developed by MarinaChain. MarinaChain plans to utilize AI technology to translate the news content into foreign languages, providing it to both the Gazette and platform users.

Furthermore, through mutual cooperation, both parties plan to develop and operate the integrated AI platform, contributing not only to the growth of both organizations but also to the advancement of the Korean maritime industry by providing specialized industry intelligence.

MarinaChain develops AI platforms that assist carbon accounting and reduction in the maritime and logistics sector, as well as predicting and calculating Scope 3 carbon emissions. The company recently won the Most AGI Potential Award at the "K-Startup & OpenAI Matching Day in US" held at OpenAI headquarters in Silicon Valley.
