Ulsan Port Authority (UPA, President Kim Jae-gyun) announced that startups under its Practical Maritime Logistics Job Creation Project achieved key milestones at Europort 2023 in Rotterdam, Netherlands, an international maritime exhibition featuring over 1,000 global companies.

UPA, in collaboration with UNIST, selected four outstanding startups from its Unicorn Test and Startup Audition to participate in the event. Among them, MarinaChain (CEO Ha Seong-yeop) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Dutch eco-friendly asset manager ACT to collaborate on carbon emissions trading systems across the European Union and Asia.

"Europort 2023 confirmed that startups nurtured through our program can partner with key international companies and explore growth opportunities," said UPA President Kim Jae-gyun. "In line with government policy, we will strengthen public-industry-academic cooperation to expand innovative projects and foster a smart maritime logistics ecosystem."
