MarinaChain, a provider of AI-powered, one-stop carbon emission management solutions for the maritime industry, has been selected for the Tech Incubator Program for Startup (TIPS), organized by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.

TIPS is a private investment-led tech startup support program where the government and private venture capitalists jointly discover and back startups with high growth potential. Selection for the TIPS program serves as a strong validation of a company's technological capabilities. Over the past month, a number of startups have been chosen for this program.

Building on its TIPS selection, MarinaChain plans to accelerate the development of its Scope 3 carbon emission platform, which leverages artificial intelligence to achieve comprehensive carbon accounting across maritime, port, and logistics supply chains.

MarinaChain is a pioneering startup driving carbon neutrality from the maritime shipping sector to general retail through its AI-driven carbon accounting software. In March, the company gained global recognition for its exceptional technology by winning first place in on-site evaluations by OpenAI executives and receiving the "Most AGI Potential Award" at the "K-Startup & OpenAI Matching Day in US" held at OpenAI’s headquarters in Silicon Valley.

Cho Hyun-seung, an investment manager at CNT Tech who recommended MarinaChain for TIPS and led its investment, stated, "MarinaChain's solution is poised to become Asia's premier carbon credit AI platform, playing a pivotal role in leading the global energy transition."
