MarinaChain, a maritime decarbonization solution company, and Green Marine, a global maritime decarbonization group, have joined forces to officially launch "Verdaxis," an AI-based digital platform designed to support the maritime industry's transition to low-carbon fuels.

Launched in Singapore on April 22, Verdaxis was designed to help maritime stakeholders—including shipowners, charterers, fuel suppliers, and financial institutions—tackle complex fuel procurement challenges and regulatory compliance. Notably, amidst increasingly stringent environmental regulations, the platform digitally integrates the entire process from verifying alternative fuel availability to reasonable pricing and operational suitability assessment.

The core engine of Verdaxis is an AI-powered marketplace model. The platform enhances market transparency by connecting verified buyers and sellers based on specific fuel pathways, ports, and volumes. This is expected to significantly reduce transaction friction by addressing information asymmetry in the emerging marine fuel market and supporting the formation of reliable market pricing.

The platform initially focuses its services on transition fuels, including methanol, ethanol, and high-performance biofuels. In addition to AI-driven optimal fuel matching, users can utilize digital workflows designed for compliance with various environmental regulations such as EU-ETS (European Union Emissions Trading System), FuelEU Maritime, and IMO (International Maritime Organization) mandates. Furthermore, users will receive professional consulting services including real-time market intelligence, bunkering support, and fuel transition advisory.
