The Busan Techno Park (Busan TP) hosted the results showcase for the 2025 Busan Blockchain Cluster initiative at the Busan Port International Exhibition & Convention Center (BPEX).

The initiative focuses on driving blockchain technology verification and adoption across industries to support enterprise growth. Marking its second year, the program centered on three regional specialized joint projects, commercialization support for 14 companies, and global expansion assistance for seven firms.

Key achievements this year included KRW 10.5 billion in revenue, KRW 2.8 billion in attracted investment, 68 new hires, and 23 international MOUs. Notably, three blockchain-based platforms, including a real-time information-sharing system for maritime, logistics, and port operations, were developed and commercialized, establishing an ecosystem where tech verification leads directly to commercial success.

Around 120 attendees gathered to review the year's progress, including representatives from the Busan Metropolitan City government, Ministry of Science and ICT, Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA), Busan TP, Busan Port Authority, and participating businesses.

Best practice presentations featured four commercialization and global growth success stories, including MediFun's "MediNomi" medical total platform, Sejong DX's blockchain-based meeting minutes data management system, CrossHub's Self-Sovereign Identity authentication solution and global simple payment system, and MarinaChain's AI digital transformation and blockchain-based workflow automation solutions for maritime, logistics, and port industries.

"The Busan Blockchain Cluster is generating tangible outcomes through a growth model that links verification to commercialization, investment, and global expansion," said Kim Hyoung-gyun, President of Busan TP. "We will continue providing effective support to fuel company growth, particularly given our meaningful progress in ports, logistics, and healthcare."

Lee Jin-soo, Director General of the Financial and Startup Policy Bureau at Busan Metropolitan City, added, "Next year, we plan to expand support and strengthen public-private collaboration to help Busan emerge as a hub for the global blockchain industry."

Busan City Council Member Kim Hyoung-chul emphasized, "Among Busan's various cluster projects, the blockchain sector has entered a stage of delivering real results. We will spare no policy support for the local blockchain industry and its enterprises."
