The city of Busan and the Busan Institute for Startup and Technology Investment held the "2025 Busan Startup Support Project Performance Showcase" on December 16 at Lotte Hotel Busan.

According to the city, the event was organized to share the annual achievements of its major startup support programs—such as the "4S (Step-by-Step) Startup Support Program" and the "Busan Representative Startup Project"—and to comprehensively review the investment and global expansion milestones of tech startups.

Held under the title "B-Startup Day Beyond 2025," the event featured expanded sideline programs, including the performance showcase, meet-ups with Seoul-based investors, and global networking sessions.

The main ceremony, starting at 4 PM, proceeded with a special lecture by a unicorn company, performance reports, excellence awards for four standout startups, presentations by two outstanding companies, and a networking session.

The awards were presented to CEOs who contributed to revitalizing the regional startup ecosystem. The selected recipients include Kim Gi-tae, CEO of DevD; Jeong Young-in, CEO of Sea Life Science Lab; Kim Jung-min, CEO of Bem Robotics; and Kim Da-won, CEO of MarinaChain.

The "4S Startup Support Program" is Busan's flagship initiative that focuses on discovering and nurturing tech startups through a customized support framework tailored to diagnosis, pre-startup, early-stage, and scale-up phases.

Lee Jin-soo, Director General for Financial Startup Policy at the city, stated, "In this inaugural year of the Busan Institute for Startup and Technology Investment, we have multi-layered the ecosystem to provide investment and market expansion opportunities for high-potential startups. We will continue to establish practical policies and support frameworks to help companies grow and establish themselves stably."
