MarinaChain Has Successfully Completed Practical AI Training for Singapore Shipping Association Members.

MarinaChain announced that it conducted a practical Digital Transformation (DX) training program for members of the Singapore Shipping Association (SSA) from March 9 to 10 at the SSA Boardroom located in the Bank of China Building in Singapore. This training focused on offering practical solutions for maritime industry professionals to streamline business processes using AI tools.

Jon J, COO of MarinaChain, served as the keynote speaker for the training. Currently serving as an SSA Digitisation Committee Member (AI Division), Jon delivered industry-tailored education by combining a deep understanding of maritime operations with AI expertise.

On the first day, the session held under the theme of "AI in Shipping & Logistics" was attended by key stakeholders from major global shipping companies, including ONE, RCL Feeder, Wilhelmsen, and JERA Global Markets.

The day's training shared hands-on practice for the AI-automated processing of major shipping documents such as Bills of Lading (BL) and invoices, strategies for redesigning manual-centric workflows into AI-driven automated flows, and methods for verifying the accuracy of AI outputs while managing regulatory risks.

On the second day, a session titled "Maritime AI: From Buzzword to Real Change" was conducted for the Young Executives Group (YEG) under the SSA. During this session, MarinaChain introduced generative AI tools to boost workplace productivity and suggested three actionable tools that participants could immediately apply to their daily operations.

Through this workshop, MarinaChain focused on going beyond simple technology introductions to provide a concrete roadmap for solving real-world inefficiencies in the maritime industry with AI.
