MarinaChain Signs MOU with KILA and Oilex to Provide 'Land and Maritime Integrated Logistics ESG Solutions'
Supporting Integrated Services for Land and Maritime Carbon Emission Monitoring and EU ETS Compliance for KILA Member Companies

The Korea Integrated Logistics Association (KILA) announced that it has signed a three-party Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with land logistics ESG specialist Oilex and maritime ESG specialist MarinaChain to launch integrated logistics ESG solutions for its member companies.
Recognizing the need for end-to-end supply chain support beyond its existing collaboration with Oilex, KILA signed this three-party MOU with MarinaChain. Through this partnership, member companies can handle carbon emission measurements, monitoring, and report generation linked to land and maritime import-export activities in a single, streamlined process. In particular, this is expected to enhance Korean companies' ESG responsiveness in major global markets such as Europe and the United States, thereby making a significant contribution to boosting national industrial competitiveness.
Centered around the association, this model creates a collaborative framework between land and maritime logistics ESG specialists, establishing a foundation to address supply-chain-wide challenges holistically rather than on an individual company basis.
Oilex provides features to accurately measure and manage carbon emissions to address Scope 3 regulations using fuel expenses and vehicle telematics data.
MarinaChain operates MarinaNet, a solution that supports the entire process from measuring vessel carbon emissions to generating compliance reports. It also offers EU Allowance (EUA) purchasing support services to help companies respond to the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS) regulations.
Through this agreement, the association will support its member companies in actively utilizing the technologies of Oilex and MarinaChain. It plans to provide benefits such as discounts or complimentary access to Oilex's e-fuel and MarinaChain's MarinaNet services, alongside related consulting support.
"This agreement holds great significance as it provides substantial benefits to our logistics companies in the environment (E) sector, which is the most pressing area of logistics ESG," said Cho Mu-young, Vice Chairman of KILA. "I am confident that leveraging the solutions from these two specialized companies will greatly assist small and medium-sized logistics enterprises that face challenges in ESG compliance. We will do our utmost to ensure these solutions spread widely in Korea, helping not only our member companies but also the entire Korean logistics industry and national economy in their ESG response."
